Amazon.com

Amazon.com is by far my favorite website. It's just great. I never purchase my textbooks from university book stores because it infuriates me how much they overcharge students. They think it's a business, I think it's unethical. I also sell my books back to Amazon.com and always get a better rate than the book stores offer me. However, sometimes the book doesn't sell, but there's an alternative! You can "trade in" your books to amazon.com and it's so easy and perfect for a frequent amazon shopper. You just look up the book, they tell you the trade in price, you print off a shipping label (they pay for the shipping) and when they get it, Amazon credits your account with a gift card. I've already sold two books this way and I am going to look through my books at home and see what I can send in. On one book I got over $55 and on another I only got $3.75 but I hated the book (it wasn't a normal text, more like a novel) and so it's $3.75 more than I would get with it sitting on my shelf never to be read again. Furthermore, it's Recycling!
Actually, the order goes Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. This is really just reusing, but it's BETTER than recycling! I lovvvvvvvvvvve reading used books (a great place to get current used books is Hastings and you don't have to pay shipping). Used books are being reused (duh) AND they're cheaper. It's really win/win.
Just wanted to let you in on my lastest save money trick incase you didn't already know.

Goodwill store off of Southwest Blvd. is great for finding used books too. I like getting my children's books there, .50 cents for chapter books.
