So I am a very new blogger. I get how to make a blog and post something, but that's about it.
So here are a few questions:
1) How do you go to your "dash board"? I usually have to go through a whole song and dance to get there.
2) How do you follow people with out knowing their URL? I can click on them and I usually get as far as their profile and then I am stuck.
3) Does someone have to have a blog to leave you a comment?
4) How do you know if someone leaves you a comment? How do they know if you wrote back? Is there any type of notification?
5) What is this "monetize" business that you can add? Do you really get money? Has anyone tried this?????????????
Please feel free to give some user friendly tips as well. I am sure there are tons of things that I don't know about.

ha - these questions are kind of hard to answer without being at a computer with you. but, you get to your dashboad by clicking on "Customize" in the upper right corner of your blog home page, and from the customize page you click on "dashboard" in the upper right corner and then you are there.
someone does not have to have a blog to leave a comment, they can either click on "Anonymous" when they are leaving a comment, or on "Name/URL" and type their name in the name spot and just leave "url" blank. That's the best way, if you ask me. (-:
You can set it up to where you get emailed every time someone leaves a comment. Generally it is not a good idea to respond within your blog, because most people aren't goign to come back and look for comments. I know I don't. So if you've responded, i have read it. )-: i either go to their blog and respond, or sometimes peopel have theirs set up to where you can reply to the email notification you get when they leave a comment, but not everyone has their email programmed in that way. So if a person doesn't, I just comment on their blog.
Monetize is google's advertising. I do it, and you do make money, but not very much. At all. I have made around $25.00 in over 8 months, and they don't give you a check until you get to $100. So I haven't actually gotten anything yet. ha. It's based off of traffic and how off of clicks.
I hope that helps - I don't know why you are having a problem following people. You should just be able to click "Follow Me" when you are at their blog.
