My Ode to Lo

Turns out that I have some "secret readers" out there which I LOVE. I LOVE LOVE that I have 7 followers even if one of them is me. I also Have NO idea how to follow other people unless I know their URL. I need some "blogger" help. Help!

Well it turns out that my little Lo Lo reads my blog. Who knew? Not me, until today. And I am in trouble. I haven't mentioned her, despite the fact that I adore her. So, in honor of her birthday, this one is all about her. Enjoy =)

It all began with recruitment when she basically told me that I had better make sure that she was in our house. The little girl from Chicago ready to conquer Oklahoma. She amazes me because she is so little but she can be so tough! I'm still not sure that she really knew what she was getting herself into. I don't think she ever imagined her life in Oklahoma this way. I also don't think she would trade it for the world.

We have been to a million events together and have fun every time. There's no such thing as a "solo shot" for a picture, when you always have a pal. This one was the pre party for the Delt "Platoon". We've been to so many date parties together it's crazy. When I worked at Party Pix she would come with me to events while I took pictures and she would set people up in poses because she knew everyone. We just pretended she worked there too. I think all she ever got out of it was a barn coke. That and a picture I bought her. It was of a coach she thought was hot at a high school basketball game. When I took the picture I pretended it was a group shot and just zoomed in on the coach.

She's going to kill me for this one, but this is one of the most fun nights I had in college. We had a "Foam" date party where you just dance and get in basically one big washing machine (TONS of bubbles) and have a good time. Well we go back to an apartment and borrow some of the guys clothes because we were all wet. I guess it had been recently raining because there was a HUGE puddle (we're talking like a pool) outside of their apartment. After we were all dry, we see the boys jumping into the puddle and pushing each other down... Lauren and I look at each other and we RUN in! It was great.. but then we needed clothes again.

I may have taught her a thing or two about getting out of things at the house, but she is also really giving of herself to better our house. She was an amazing homecoming chair, leading our house to 4th place. She is so creative and talented. I really admire that about her. This is us after she hadn't slept in 2 days after the homecoming game. She is now a Spring Sing director and doing a great job. I'm so stinkin' proud of her, it's not even funny.
Lo (Lauren) is one of the most special people that I have in my life. There's honestly nothing that I wouldn't do for her. We have had the most amazing times together. I've even wanted to kill her a few times. I wanted to drop her off on the side of the road when we came back to Chicago even though it was her car and she was driving.
The highlight of my work week and when she comes to Tulsa for class. She visits me and I take a break and we catch up on the week. Sometimes I'll be so stressed out and she is the perfect break in my day.
She is graduating in May which makes me really sad. She is so talented that I know she is going to be a huge success, but that will probably mean that she has to move far away from me, and that's going to be hard. She's also the kind of friend that will jump on a plane and come visit, and vice versa. The countdown is on, graduation is near, but this will not be the end of Shanna and Lo.

Hey, not that I'm a blogging expert, but I can totally help you out if you have blogging questions. Most people have a "Follow Me" button on their blog that you can click and follow. If that's not what you meant, let me know. I can help. (-:
